The port boasts a wide choice of amenities including a supermarket, banks, butcher and a wide choice of affordable top class restaurants which include 2 Indian, 3 Chinese, 6 Italian, English and not forgetting Spanish cuisine. There is also a great Italian ice cream shop as well as boutiques and numerous bars.

Marines & Shopping

 

A short drive of 10 minutes takes you to Estepona, shops, bars, port/marina, beaches and promenade and Sotogrande with its golf courses and marina and excellent restaurants is only a 10 min drive in the opposite direction.

A 20-minute drive to Puerto Banus for designer shopping, a marina which houses mega yachts such as those owned by the Saudi royal family and a chance to dine out at some of the most exclusive restaurants in this part of Spain. Alternatively just take a drink at one of the many quay side bars and count the number of Ferraris, Maseratis and Bentleys that go by.

Only a 20 minute drive to Gibraltar for duty free shopping, sightseeing, bars, restaurants and the airport. Where branded whisky costs only £5 a litre and English cigarettes from 60p a packet. Barter for the latest range of electronics from mp3 players to digital cameras.

   

Mountains

 

The Surrounding mountains and towns all have nature walks from the Roman Baths at Manilva to the peaks of the Sierra Bermeja. At the top of this 1450 meter peak you can truly see for miles, these breathtaking panoramic views from a purpose built observation area cover almost a 360-degree view along the coast of the Costa Del Sol from Malaga to Algeciras and across the Gibraltar Straits to Morocco. You can drive all the way up and ample parking is provided.

   
Golf  

 

Casares is fast becoming a favorite with golfers due to the proximity of some of Europe's finest golf courses. Combine this with the beautiful and peaceful setting and it is no surprise so many golfers and their families are coming back. Duquesa's own gold and country club 5 minutes away is a championship 18 hole Robert Trent Jones designed course and overlooks the Mediterranean with views out to North Africa and Gibraltar. It is a nice course to play for professional and novice players alike.

Casares is on the Costa del Golf for one reason. It boast more than 35 courses within half an hours drive, including many of the top clubs including Valderamma. Casares is situated close to the course which holds one of the rounds of the European Seniors tour Duquesa.
